Job Purpose

The Aircraft Parts Cleaner is responsible for cleaning turbine engine components for PWC PT6 Engines, ensuring they are prepared for inspection and further processing.

Responsibilities

• Clean metal parts to remove all foreign materials and prepare them for inspection.
• Inspect parts for any defects.
• Manually and mechanically dry parts after cleaning.
• Move loaded carts into and out of the cleaning area.
• Maintain the cleaning system, including hoses, spray guns, and tanks.
• Coordinate component flow with other departments.
• Perform all other duties as requested by management.

Working Conditions

Physical Demands: Requires sitting or standing for extended periods, frequent walking, bending, reaching, occasional squatting, lifting up to 50 pounds, repetitive hand movements, manual dexterity, and corrected vision and hearing.

Equipment Operated: Spray guns and troubleshooting equipment problems.

Work Location: Aviation Welding Technologies, 73 Commerce Drive Uxbridge, MA 01569.

Protective Equipment: Safety glasses, hearing protection, rubber gloves, liquid-proof apron, and other protective gear as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical Airframe/Powerplant training is recommended but not required.
• Experience in aviation maintenance or manufacturing preferred but not required.
• No certificates or licenses required.
