The technician assembles custom-built diesel-powered electric generators by interpreting blueprint specifications and using hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and sometimes welding equipment and machine tools. Candidates with a strong electrical background are preferred.

What You’ll Do:

• Meet customer demand by building diesel-powered electric generators according to specifications using blueprints, wiring schematics, and engine drawings.
• Maintain a safe work environment by complying with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures. Complete required documentation and keep your work area and tools clean and operational.
• Participate in on-the-job, technical, policy, and procedural training.
• Potentially lead some jobs as required.

What You’ll Need:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of mechanical, automotive, or assembly experience.
• Ability to think independently, problem-solve, and adapt.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
• Availability to work 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. with overtime as needed.
