Production Technician (Finance)

Primary Responsibilities Include:

1. Maintain protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities in which we operate and/or transport our products as our highest priority
2. Work within the scope of procedures and instructions
3. Participate in and comply with all training and development activities
4. Perform emergency response activities, as required
5. Conduct routine operating inspections, troubleshoot operational problems, and respond to emergencies or changing operational situations.
6. Maintain logs of readings, lab results, shift production requirements, and equipment issues to record daily activity and ensure proper shift relief.
7. Assist with and perform routine maintenance tasks
8. Safely shut down and prepare equipment for maintenance following lock/tag/try procedures, confined space permits, or safe/hot work permits. Return equipment to service or standby mode after maintenance.
9. Perform daily housekeeping activities to maintain a safe and environmentally sound workplace.
10. Become fully qualified in departmental positions within 3-5 years and maintain these qualifications as a condition of employment.
11. Share knowledge and assist other operators
12. Be a member of the rescue team and obtain HAZMAT certification - Level B & C Classified.

Qualifications:

1. High regard for personal safety and the safety of others
2. High school diploma or equivalent
3. PTEC or other post-secondary technical program preferred
4. Willing and able to work 12-hour rotating shifts and overtime (including weekends & holidays)
5. Minimum 18 years old
6. Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
7. Negative drug and alcohol test results (for cause and/or random testing)
8. Physical ability to lift 40 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and wear PPE including respirators
9. Ability to respond to visual and audible alarms
10. Proficient in basic computer skills
11. Strong troubleshooting skills

Work Location: In person (St. Gabriel, La.)

The typical compensation range is $39.10/hour, with actual offers based on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. Benefits include healthcare, 401(k), holidays, paid time off, parental leave, disability leave, and employee assistance programs.
