Job summary

Production Resource Group is seeking an equipment technician in Secaucus, NJ to support lighting and audio gear. This role requires 1–2 years of experience with lighting/audio equipment and a production background, with union membership as a condition of employment.

The position offers pay under a union contract, comprehensive benefits including health, dental and vision, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan with matching contributions. On-site work with a strong emphasis on meeting prep deadlines.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience with lighting and/or audio equipment.
• Solid understanding of lighting and/or audio production equipment.
• Union membership is required.

Responsibilities

• Clean equipment after check in when returned; inspect new equipment upon delivery.
• Test all equipment when it comes in to the warehouse, including new and returned.
• Diagnose, log, and repair damaged items.
• Assemble and configure equipment racks for delivery.
• Manage firmware versions for applicable devices.
• Ensure all equipment prep deadlines are met.
• Organize and store all tested equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is in top cosmetic shape.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Work well under hard deadlines; ability to plan workflow accordingly.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve in a time-sensitive production environment.

Facility falls under a CBA, Union Membership is required as a condition of continued employment.

The pay for this position starts at $28.84/hour per the CBA. Actual pay to be determined by the experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant combined with location and alignment with market data. Additionally, we offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with matching contributions.
