This hands-on role focuses on learning to operate the frame machine and other equipment, assembling pocket door frames, loading materials, and staging for shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and assist with operation of the frame machine and other production equipment.
  • Catch, inspect, finish, and stage doors for shipment and installation.
  • Build and assemble pocket door frames and related components.
  • Load and unload materials, products, and deliveries.
  • Organize, stock, and restock inventory, supplies, and production materials.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
  • Make local deliveries as needed.
  • Support production teams with general labor tasks and special projects.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing and operational needs.

Position Summary

The Production Technician supports daily manufacturing and warehouse operations while learning and developing the skills necessary to operate specialized production equipment, including the frame machine. This hands-on role assists with door production, finishing, staging, material handling, pocket frame assembly, deliveries, and general shop support. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-minded, eager to learn, and willing to assist wherever needed to keep production moving efficiently.

Essential Job Duties
  • Learn and assist with operation of the frame machine and other production equipment.
  • Catch, inspect, finish, and stage doors for shipment and installation.
  • Build and assemble pocket door frames and related components.
  • Load and unload materials, products, and deliveries.
  • Organize, stock, and restock inventory, supplies, and production materials.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  • Assist with shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations.
  • Make local deliveries as needed.
  • Support production teams with general labor tasks and special projects.
  • Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and quality standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing and operational needs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, carpentry, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn new equipment and processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record preferred.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to regularly stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to perform heavy physical labor, including regularly lifting, carrying, and loading doors and building materials weighing up to 150 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
  • Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures, dust, noise, and moving equipment.
  • Ability to safely load, unload, and move materials throughout the facility.
