Job summary

Paycom in Cincinnati, OH is seeking a Production Operator to manufacture pre-hung residential and commercial interior doors from start to finish, following a demanding production schedule. You will read work orders, prepare materials, operate the door machine on the production line, assemble door slabs and parts, and perform quality checks while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

This is a day shift role with occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in manufacturing, construction, or production is a plus
• Ability to read a tape measure and basic drawings or blueprints
• Comfortable operating hand tools, power tools, and basic machinery
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and reaching
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good communication skills and a team-player attitude
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company

Responsibilities

• Follow a production schedule and update completion notifications.
• Read and understand instructions on Work Orders to pick and build correctly.
• Pre-stage work orders materials to begin manufacturing.
• Operate the door machine on the production line.
• Assemble door slabs and door parts into a finished product with a nail table.
• Quality control and routine maintenance of machinery and products.
• Material handling and forklift operation as needed; pallet jack or dolly usage.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues regarding finished product inspections.
• Manufacture door accessories including pre-cut jambs, headers and casings.
• Use a scan gun to process work orders for WMS and Bistrack.
• Inventory and cycle count materials on a weekly basis.
• Keep a clean and organized work environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers.
• Follow all safety protocols and report any unsafe conditions

Summary

The Production Operator is responsible for the manufacturing of pre-hung residential and commercial interior pre-hung doors from start to finish.These raw materials include stock hollow core door slabs, solid core door slabs and special-order door slabs. This individual ensures all work is completed on time based on a demanding production schedule; working efficiently, accurately, and with a strong commitment to safety, time management and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• 1) Follow a production schedule. Update completion notifications on the computer
• 2) Read and understand instructions on Work Orders to pick and build correctly.
• 3) Pre-stage work orders materials to begin the manufacturing process.
• 4) Operate the door machine on the production line.
• 5) Assemble door slabs and door parts into a finished product using a nail table.
