Job summary

Tague-Lumber-of-Phoenixvill is seeking a capable Door Shop/Production Associate to join the team in Phoenixville, PA. You will prep and assemble pre-hung door units in the Door Shop and operate saws, nail guns, and related tools while maintaining clean, organized work areas.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, teamwork, and adherence to Lean/5S standards as production goals drive daily activities.

Qualifications

• Clear communication and teamwork are essential.
• Ability to read a tape measure and interpret measurements.
• Prior experience in a woodworking/door shop is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work in the Door Shop assembly area to prep & assemble pre-hung door units.
• Operate saws and nail guns, assist/catch materials, sweep, paint, organize the shop, and count inventory.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Comply with all company safety policies, procedures, training, rules, and guidelines.
• Maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating in professional, courteous, respectful, ethical manner with customers, clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
• Assume an active role in any/all the facility’s work.
• Follow all company/location safety rules and lock-out tag-out procedures.
• Maintain all shop areas, tools, machinery, and equipment per Lean/5S standards.
• Follow a production schedule.
• Maintain a consistent flow of information to shop Foreman.
• Identify lulls in production and shift support to teammates.
• Receive and carry out tasks and instruction issued by Foreman.
• Participate in continuously improving through Lean/5S.

Work as a member of a team in support of a production operation with a goal-oriented mindset toward increasing productivity, decreasing downtime, and eliminating waste.

• Work in the Door Shop assembly area to prep & assemble pre-hung door units
• Operate saws and nail guns, assist/catch materials, sweep, paint, organize the shop, and count inventory

Working Conditions:

Woodworking mill / Door shop environment involving lifting above the shoulder, walking, bending, standing, and carrying of product, heavy lifting required, exposure to very hot and cold weather.
