OneSubsea, located in Mobile, Alabama, is looking to add several Production Technicians to the team.

Must be willing to work on-site in Mobile, Alabama, and work day/night shifts.

Summary

Under general supervision, the Technician is responsible for assembling and testing complex mechanical assemblies, often to close tolerances. Responsible for ensuring all work packages are processed in order, and equipment/parts are assembled according to specifications. Executes work as defined in the Work Order package. Individual is expected to follow all safety and quality guidelines to ensure equipment is delivered according to specifications.

Essential Functions

This position is an intermediate level position able to apply basic skills with increasing independence. Job duties shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Actively participate in the umbilical production process, gaining and maintaining competence in one or more Production areas.
• Continuously observe the umbilical process; monitor signals and equipment; and receive notifications from control supervisor to make specified adjustments (e.g., brakes, pumps, reels, compressors).
• Operate and control carousels/tensioners and closing Epic.
• Develop understanding of spooling route and accumulator construction.
• Participate in pre-meetings for Closing, Extrusion, and Load-out, and assist with related operations.
• Become certified as an outer sheathing repairer.
• May operate forklift and/or overhead crane.
• Adhere to HSSE and Quality Standards.

Skills and Knowledge

• Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read instructions/procedures, project drawings, and report/write logs.
• Visual assessment skills, excellent communication skills.
• Use of hand and electric tools.

Educational Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
