Job description

Team Members are system experts in their assigned area, highly proficient in multiple functions. They must ensure efficiency, operational conformance, product quality, and continuous improvement. As part of an area team, they are responsible for the efficient production of quality products in the required quantities, operating and changing over specified machinery. Team Members should be capable of training or performing tasks of other associates as needed. Strong communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills are essential to support site objectives.

Physical requirements include standing on a concrete floor, wearing proper PPE (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform), bending, stooping, twisting, standing for extended periods, reaching, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Forklift assignments require OSHA certification and frequent getting on/off.

Principal Accountabilities
  1. Perform all assigned activities within a line or area.
  2. Operate equipment safely and efficiently.
  3. Take corrective actions to resolve problems at root cause level.
  4. Assess equipment reliability, perform routine repairs, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
  5. Support or perform preventive maintenance with Maintenance.
  6. Maintain accurate records of QC checks, production numbers, or waste performance.
  7. Keep detailed logbooks and support documentation in a quality manner.
  8. Perform QC tasks such as metal checks, date code inspections, item number verification, and dump logs.
  9. Demonstrate ownership of product quality by performing standard quality checks and related duties.
  10. Operate a computer and utilize basic desktop systems.
  11. Understand principles of inventory control and production schedules, work instructions, and inventories.
  12. Possess a general knowledge of Mars and the systems used by the business.

Key Experiences
  • At least 3 years of manufacturing or technical/trade discipline experience.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Over 3 years of manufacturing experience operating processing or packaging machines.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles.
  • OSHA forklift certification and experience with SAP.
Desired Education

High School diploma or equivalent.

Decision Making Authority
  • Provide input to process and equipment improvements.
  • Modify SOPs and job aids to maintain equipment and eliminate losses.
  • Adjust preventive maintenance and centerline settings based on data to prevent losses.
People Management Responsibilities

None, but effective communication and good relations are required. Provide feedback on new hire training progress for ITMS.

Pay

$25.45 plus $1.32 shift differential for afternoon and night shifts.
