Asahi Kasei Plastics North America, Inc. is seeking a Production Tech for both Night and Day Shift openings in Fowlerville, Michigan. The position offers pay of $20 per hour for Day Shift and $21.20 per hour for Night Shift, with shifts running from 6pm–6am.

Job description

Position: Production Tech

Night Shift openings: $21.20 per hour. Day Shift: $20 per hour. Work shifts: 6pm–6am for night shift (2–3–2 schedule). Direct hire position with benefits.

Responsibilities

• Assist operator to start up extruder
• Assist with cleaning tasks during extruder changeover
• Load and unload trucks
• Label, repack, sort, and recycle materials throughout the operations area
• Perform general housekeeping and light maintenance
• Work under the direction of senior employees to move, weigh, mix, and stage materials
• Monitor process parameters and refill levels as directed
• Support line operating activities by collecting samples and performing material analysis tasks (melt flow, filler, moisture checks)

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years
• Must be able to meet the requirements of driving a forklift (Company certifies on‑the‑job)
• Must be able to work a 12‑hour shift (Day: 6am–6pm; Night: 6pm–6am)
• Basic mathematics

• Communicates clearly from shift to shift

Shift Schedule

2 days on; 2 days off; 3 days on; 2 days off – then the following week it is the opposite.
