Position

Plastic Extruder Operator (Night Shift)

Night schedule: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM on a 2‑3‑2 shift pattern.

Compensation

• Base pay $23.50 per hour.
• Night shift premium $1.20 per hour (total $24.70 per hour).

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee all extruder functions, including changeovers, start‑ups, steady‑state and shut‑downs, focusing on safety and quality.
• Communicate clearly from shift to shift.
• Perform in‑process material testing (melt flow, ash, and moisture).
• Use proper and safe handling of company‑supplied tools and equipment.
• Conduct daily preventive maintenance and housekeeping duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• At least 3 years of plastic extrusion operating experience.

Physical Demands

• Stands and walks continuously.
• Lifts and carries 20–50 lbs. frequently.
• Lifts and carries 50–100 lbs. with assistance occasionally.
• Reaches and bends frequently.
