Position Summary

The Production Technician performs technical tasks related to vehicle preparation, assembly, modification, and quality inspection, ensuring all components meet safety, standards, and customer specifications.

Responsibilities

• In-Service Preparation: Prepare vehicles for delivery, ensuring operational systems meet requirements.
• Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI): Conduct detailed inspections for functionality and compliance.
• Installation Tasks: Install running boards, relocate DEF systems, mount body boxes, install strobe lights, and modify chassis and fuel tanks as needed.
• Quality Control: Perform initial quality checks during vehicle builds.
• Other Tasks: Assist with mechanical builds, implement 5S principles, and support other projects as assigned.

Requirements

MUST HAVE

• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Adaptability and ability to work under pressure
• Team player with mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, lift 50 lbs, and stand for long periods
• Basic communication skills and proficiency with tablets

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with commercial truck chassis and installations
• Automotive or diesel mechanic certification
