Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Production Technician to maintain operations at our Geocycle Skippers VA site. The role focuses on operating and maintaining an industrial Fly Ash processing plant and supporting safe, efficient production.

The ideal candidate has at least two years in an industrial environment, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license, with readiness to work rotating shifts and follow PPE and safety procedures. We offer competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in an industrial setting with equipment troubleshooting.
• Experience operating mobile equipment such as skid loaders, forklifts.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor efficient operation of production processes.
• Perform routine operations and preventative maintenance inspections.
• Operate skid loader, front end loader, forklift and other equipment.
• Lubricate, inspect and adjust process equipment as directed.
• Collect process and product samples and document results.
• Complete safety and equipment checklists and keep areas clean.
• Work rotating shifts and adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.

About The Role

The Operation Technician maintains the operation of an industrial Fly Ash processing plant.

What You’ll Accomplish

• Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to; developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment
• Responsible to maintain and monitor efficient operation of all production processes.
• Make routine operation and preventative maintenance inspections of process equipment, report all unusual conditions, and prepare work orders for maintenance when required.
• Operate skid loader, front end loader, forklift and other equipment.
• As directed, lubricate, inspect, adjust or make repairs to process equipment.
• Collect process and product samples.
• Completion of the Area Safety Inspection, Mobile Equipment Checklist and any other documentation as required.
• General housekeeping - keep work areas clean.
• Must be able to work rotating shifts.
• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
• Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

Education: High school diploma

Required Work Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in an industrial workplace with experience in:

• Troubleshooting equipment
• Operating mobile equipment
• Must have a valid driver’s license

Travel Requirements: Less than 10%

Additional Requirements

• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
