Description

Under the direction of the Production Coordinator, the Production Technician is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the efficient operation of all production processes.

What You'll Accomplish

• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Practice and promote safety in such ways as including but not limited to assessing risks before starting tasks, only performing authorized activities, utilizing appropriate PPE.
• Exercise and encourage core values including but not limited to developing self and coaching others by inspiration and empowerment.
• Be responsible for maintaining and monitoring efficient operation of all production processes.
• Make routine operation and preventative maintenance inspections of process equipment, report all unusual conditions, and prepare work orders for maintenance when required.
• Operate dump trucks, skid loader, front end loader, forklift and other equipment.
• Clean the preheater tower with jack hammers and air lances.
• Reclaim sand, iron ore, gypsum and clinker into the process as directed.
• Operate limestone reclaimers to face storage piles and position reclaimers prior to the start of reclaim operation.
• Lubricate, inspect, adjust or make repairs to process equipment as directed.
• Follow all safety procedures including lock‑out, tag‑out, try‑out, confined space, hot work permits, utilization of appropriate PPE, perform safety hazard checks, correct and eliminate safety hazards.
• Follow all standard work instructions.
• Complete the Area Safety Inspection, Mobile Equipment Checklist and any other documentation as required.
• Maintain general housekeeping – keep work areas clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Be able to work rotating shifts.

What We Are Looking For

• Required Education: High School diploma/GED
• Required Work Experience: 1‑3 years
• Licenses Preferred: Valid Driver’s License Required
• Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic knowledge about computers, Microsoft Office and SAP.

• Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
• Climb stairs and ladders and work in both hot and cold environments.
• Work in awkward positions for short periods of time.
• Work in confined areas and elevated platforms (working at heights).
• Knowledge of the cement manufacturing process and equipment a plus.
• Obtain ATF clearance for handling of explosives.
• Read, write and speak English.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong work standards and attendance record.
• Valid driver’s license. Class B or higher CDL is a plus.
