Job description

Nissha Medical Technologies is seeking a Production Technician to join our Colorado Springs team!

The primary role of the Production Technician I is to support the production area in achieving safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team goals. The technician acts as a technical expert in the assembly area, assisting with new manufacturing process development and collaborating with engineering to improve existing processes. This position may also involve overseeing and directing some assembly personnel.

Compensation: Nissha Medical Technologies offers fair, competitive, and market-informed pay. The pay rate for this position ranges from $18.00 to $23.00 per hour (USD), paid weekly. The specific salary will depend on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.

Essential Functions & Duties:
  1. Adhere to employee guidelines and Quality System Regulations to meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  2. Follow NMT’s Employee Guidelines and quality standards as outlined in the Quality Manual.
  3. Assist engineering staff with prototype assembly, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  4. Document assembly and testing methods.
  5. Collaborate with engineers on assembly and alignment of complex medical device components.
  6. Contribute to the development and implementation of new processes.
  7. Build and test prototypes as per engineering instructions.
  8. Help establish specifications and quality standards for projects.
  9. Communicate project status to engineers.
  10. Manage label printing processes for production.
  11. Assist in assembling medical devices.
  12. Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with safety policies and regulations.
  13. Coordinate with managers and supervisors to organize work, training, and instruction for production staff.
  14. Maintain regular attendance.
Requirements:
  1. Experience in a medical device manufacturing environment.
  2. Experience working in regulated environments such as ISO and FDA QSR.
  3. Associate degree (A.S.) or equivalent plus at least 1 year of relevant technician experience, or a minimum of 3 years relevant technician experience, or 5 years in a production role with increasing responsibilities.
  4. IPC training is preferred.
  5. Proficiency with hand tools and measurement tools including torque wrenches, wire strippers, calipers, micrometers, and pin gauges.
  6. Experience with wire/cable termination, soldering, crimping, and adhesive bonding.
  7. Experience with electrical testing such as continuity, resistance, and hipot testing.
  8. Fixture or tooling design experience is a plus.
