An established industry player is seeking Addiction Technicians to join their team in providing essential support to clients in Withdrawal Management and Residential programs. This role involves working closely with individuals facing mental health and substance abuse challenges, advocating for their needs, and ensuring their safety during detoxification. This position is eligible to work remotely as approved by management.
Certified Addiction Counselor Certification (CAC) and previous experience in a human services-related field are preferred. Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License. Requires ability to work irregular hours and shifts, including days, swings, graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays. Lived experience with mental health and/or substance use conditions is desired.
Addiction Technicians work with clients in Withdrawal Management and/or Residential programs, providing milieu management. As part of a multidisciplinary team, they support individuals facing mental health, substance abuse challenges, and withdrawal management. They serve as client advocates, provide mentoring and education, and model wellness and recovery. The role involves working directly with adults and their families, engaging clients in withdrawal-specific therapy, and monitoring clients during detoxification or withdrawal to ensure physical stability within the facility.
Occasionally lift/move up to 25 pounds. Frequently walk, sit, stand, or kneel; occasionally climb, balance, or stoop. Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer. Travel between Mind Springs sites may be required. Exposure to stressful situations involving distressed or intoxicated individuals, potential communicable diseases, and moderate noise levels.
