Job summary

Plastipak Packaging is seeking a Production Technician to operate extrusion and blow-molding equipment, ensuring the manufacture of high-quality plastic containers in a clean, climate-controlled facility. You will monitor equipment, adjust settings, perform maintenance, and collaborate with the team on safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience as a Manufacturing Production Technician working with equipment used for high-volume production.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. individually and up to 70 lbs. with a team lift.
• Working knowledge of extrusion or blow molding equipment is preferred.
• Hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical/mechanical basic knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Operate extrusion & blow-molding equipment in a clean, safe, climate-controlled environment.
• Monitor and adjust settings (heat, water cooling, hydraulic pressure) to produce high-quality containers.
• Troubleshoot equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
