At MKS Instruments in Andover, Minnesota, the Production Tech 2 role partners with the Andover production team and reports to the Supervisor. The job focuses on set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits and mechanical assemblies to meet specifications.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree or equivalent training, 1+ year of related experience, and familiarity with testing digital/analog systems. Soldering skills and reading drawings are important.

A Day in Your Life at MKS:

As a Production Tech 2 at Pressure & VM Solutions, you will partner with Andover Production. In this role, you will report to the Supervisor.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Responsible for the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies
• Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams
• Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems
• May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing
• Requires soldering skills and possibly mechanical aptitude skills
• As required, prepares technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems
• May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment

Skills You Bring:

• Associate degree, military technical training or their equivalent vocational training is required
• 1+ year of related experience
• Must be current Temporary Employee at MKS doing the work of Production Tech 2
• May require experience in testing digital and/or analog systems
• Ability to read drawings and use measurement instruments 1+ year of related experience

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

• Perform activities such as sitting, standing, or typing for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Regularly requires good manual dexterity and coordination
• Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 pounds
• Ability to remain in a stationary position for 90% of the time
• Frequently positions self to perform tasks and positions objects below, at, and above shoulder level
• Regularly requires manual dexterity and coordination of objects below, at and above shoulder level
• Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay Range: $18.89 - 31.40 per hour. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.

Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
