Good Chemistry is seeking a Production Tech in Massachusetts to efficiently de-bone, trim, package, label and distribute cannabis products for MA stores and wholesale. The role also includes basic cleaning and supporting the production facility.

The position requires attention to detail, ability to work across departments, and adherence to safety and PPE guidelines. Prior cannabis production experience is helpful but not required.

Job Summary

The role of the Production Tech position is to efficiently de-bone, trim, package, label and distribute Good Chemistry products to be sold at Massachusetts retail stores and via the wholesale program. This role also includes basic cleaning tasks and other various duties to support the production facility as needed.

Pay Rate

$18.50 - $21 per hour commensurate with education and experience. As well as weekly bonuses up to $100.

Job Requirements (Education and Experience)

• Must pass a background check in order to obtain an RMD Agent card through Cannabis Control Commission
• This job involves cannabis and requires that you be at least 21 years old
• Genuine enthusiasm and love for cannabis and the cannabis industry
• Minimum 1 years experience in Cannabis cultivation or production desired, but not required

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions

• Must qualify for the use of a full-face respirator
• Must be able to complete repetitive fine motor movements
• Must be able to seize, hold, grasp, turn, open, close, lift, or otherwise work with your hand(s) to manipulate packaging, products, and pruning equipment repetitively throughout a 8hr shift.
• Must be able to work in an environment with high noise and high light intensity
• Must be comfortable using provided PPE such as masks, hair nets, beard covers, respirators, boot covers, non-slip shoes, and Tyvek suits as necessary.

• Must show up on time, ready to work and maintain a standard of personal hygiene for processing marijuana flower
• Ability to focus and stay on task for long periods of time

Additional Requirements

• Must be able to lift, carry, pull, push, move up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with mechanical assistance)
• Must be able to work seated/standing as appropriate at workstations for extended periods of time, maintain body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching and reaching; and must be able to use hands/fingers to hold, grasp, turn, pick, pinch, frequently/constantly to complete tasks
• Must be able to handle plant matter daily, and be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as appropriate (eye, face, hand, arm, head, foot, body, fall protection)

All jobs require daily use of provided PPE such as masks, hair nets, bear covers, respirators, boot covers, hearing protection, aprons, gloves, Tyvek suits, and goggles/eye protection, as necessary. The employee must be able to work in spaces with exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to, air compressors, packaging equipment, alarms, and other machinery. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to an environment suited for the plants’ optimal performance and not necessarily the employee’s comfort.
