Job summary

Kraft Heinz is hiring a Production Team Member in Coshocton, Ohio. You will perform general production duties in a food-manufacturing environment, including arranging bacon, pressing pork bellies, hand packing on an Assembly line, and rotating assignments. Starting wage is $21.87 per hour with timed pay increases.

This is a union facility with more than 600 employees. Weekend shifts and a 2nd shift (afternoon start) are required; training occurs in the initial week before bidding to a home

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift
• Able to work in refrigerated temperatures for the shift
• Lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to work full-time and overtime
• Willingness to work weekend shifts and 2nd (afternoon) shift
• 1 year of stable work history strongly preferred
• 3 years of manufacturing experience required (6 months in last 12 months)

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-operational safety inspections
• Ensure guards are in place at workstation
• Follow Quality Production Specifications in job performance
• Follow PPE and GMP for cleanliness of product
• Contribute to high quality and yield in production
• Arrange drafts of OM bacon onto product cards and conveyors
• Downgrade drafts to proper grade as needed
• Work as a team and assist others on the line
• Maintain clean area by sweeping, waste handling and organization
• Assist with rejects and downtime as required
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervision
• Contribute to QRMP maintenance and improvement at Coshocton
• Develop technologies as needed

Job Overview

Employees will perform general production duties in a food-manufacturing environment and will work within strict product standards. Typical positions an employee will fill include: Arranging bacon, Pressing pork bellies, hand packing on an Assembly line, stacking finished cases, and a rotation for work assignments. This position’s starting wage is $21.87 per hour with timed pay increases.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Perform all pre-operational safety inspections
• Make sure guards are in place at work station
• Know and follow all Quality Production Specifications in performance of the job
• Know and follow all PPE and GMP in the performance of this job to ensure proper cleanliness of product
• Use practices consistent with the highest possible quality and yield results
• Take single drafts of OM bacon and arrange them correctly onto product cards
• Place drafts of bacon onto the lug conveyor/table correctly, carefully, and timely making sure to fill all available holes
• Downgrade necessary drafts that are not OM quality to proper grade
• Work as a team and assist other arrangers as needed on the line
• Keep area clean by sweeping floors, emptying white tubs into v‑mags, clearing packages from green tub, emptying trash cans, and emptying red tubs into yellow barrels
• Assist with rejects while at extra position or while there is downtime on the line
• Perform additional duties as directed by supervision
• All employees are responsible for the implementation, on‑going maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Risk Management Process (QRMP) here at Coshocton
• Proficient in developing technologies

Qualifications

• Ability stand for the duration of shift excluding designated break times
• Ability to work in refrigerated temperatures for duration of shift excluding designated break times
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to work full-time and overtime
• Ability to work to weekend shift and 2nd shift (afternoon start time)
• 1 year of stable work history strongly preferred
• 3 years Manufacturing experience required (6 months relevant experience in the last 12 months)
