Job summary

Shoals Technologies Group, a Nashville-area provider of EBOS solutions for solar and energy storage, is hiring a Manufacturing Lead to coordinate daily activities of hourly associates, set up production lines, and ensure parts meet specifications. You will work with multiple departments to address delays, improve efficiencies, and train new staff. Requirements include a high school diploma, 1+ year lead experience, 2+ years in industrial environments, and English and/or Spanish proficiency.

• 2+ years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Ability to speak English and/or Spanish proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates, facilitates, and directs the daily activities of hourly manufacturing associates.
• Set up the production line to customer specifications and coordinate with departments to ensure parts meet requirements.
• Ensure parts are produced according to the schedule and communicate issues to leadership.
• Identify delays and inefficiencies; work with supervisors to address them.
• Provide training to new associates and document training.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Duties:

• Coordinates, facilitates, and directs the daily activities of hourly manufacturing Associates.
• Set up the production line to the specification of the customer’s order and work closely with various departments to ensure that parts are manufactured according to customer’s specifications.
• Makes sure that appropriate parts and quantity of parts are being run according to production schedule.
• Communicates any safety, quality, and/or production related issues with Supervisor or appropriate management representative.
• Coordinate housekeeping activities of area.
• Provides necessary training to new associates and documents said training.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve delays in the shift
• Work with Supervisor and other leaders to identify and address inefficiencies
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Thorough understanding of operations policies and practices.
• Excel/ERP (Hand Scanner is a plus)
• Computer Skills (Basic Outlook, Word, and Excel knowledge) GP a plus.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Minimum of 1 year of previous lead experience required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an industrial environment
• Ability to speak English and/or Spanish proficiently

Physical requirements:

• Must be able to stand, walk, push, bend and/or squat for 10+ hours in a day.
• Must be able to lift up to 25-50 Ibs at a time.
• Regularly perform repetitive tasks
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment.
