Job summary

Michelman seeks a Team Leader, Production to oversee safety, quality, and productivity as a senior operator and acting shift supervisor when needed. You will manage cold blend, emulsion, reactor, and other batches while coaching operators and enforcing SOPs.

You will drive incident response, support investigations, and maintain accurate process data in ERP. Training new hires and aligning with Michelman values are key parts of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 5+ years hands-on chemical manufacturing.
• Experience leading teams, training new hires, and enforcing SOPs.
• Ability to coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, or Engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as equipment and area owner; assume duties in absence of Shift Supervisor.
• Analyze performance gaps and develop corrective actions.
• Assign shift personnel to work areas, balancing staffing per production schedule.
• Load, unload, and package materials; complete all documentation.
• Lead safety, quality, and housekeeping adherence on shift.
• Record data in ERP; support product trials and batch procedures.
• Participate in shift handoffs and daily tier meetings.
