Gentex is seeking a Production Group Leader I to develop work teams focused on producing high-quality products and continuous improvement. You will manage the manufacturing area with emphasis on people, safety, quality, delivery and cost, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer requirements.

The role requires leadership experience and a 2-4 year degree or equivalent experience, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and manufacturing readiness.

Qualifications

• 2-4 year degree in a related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
• Proven leadership experience.

Responsabilités

• Promote safety and remove barriers enabling teams to be effective.
• Lead and manage direct reports including recordkeeping, time-tracking, training, and performance.
• Plan production to meet customer demands while maintaining high product quality.
• Interface with other departments to ensure quality standards and customer requirements are met.
• Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing practices (5S, 8 forms of waste).
• Develop knowledge of all workstations within the manufacturing area.
