Job summary

DIS-TRAN Steel in Pineville, LA seeks a Leadperson to lead, coach, mentor a small production team on the Day Shift under the supervision of the Production Supervisor. The role focuses on achieving production targets while upholding safety and quality standards.

The Leadperson will schedule daily work, train employees, and ensure adherence to policies and procedures. Relevant welding/pole fit experience and a strong attendance record are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook is preferred.
• Epicor experience preferred.
• Regular, reliable attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Leads and trains a small team to meet production levels.
• Enforces safety and sanitation regulations.
• Coordinates activities of employees in production or processing of materials.
• Reads specifications, blueprints, and job orders for workers.
• Mentors and develops employees for continuous improvement.
• Conducts employee evaluations and enforces company policies.
