Job summary

Butterball, LLC is seeking a Team Leader Production for the Ready to Eat – Day Shift at our Mount Olive, NC facility. You will assist the Supervisor, lead a production line, and ensure tasks and rotations are followed to meet daily goals in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires leadership, teamwork, and strong communication to train staff, monitor equipment, and maintain safety standards. Overtime and weekend work may be required; on-site, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate leadership and the ability to supervise a production team.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are required to coordinate daily tasks.
• Commitment to safety and compliance with USDA and GMP policies is essential.
• Ability to maintain a clean, organized work area and follow procedures.
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows direction of Production Supervisor to assign and instruct personnel of daily production duties.
• Observes equipment operation, notifying appropriate personnel of any malfunctions and/or safety issues/concerns.
• Provide accurate and timely feedback to supervisor regarding any issues or problems that may arise during daily production.
• Helps coordinate daily set-up of equipment to ensure the line is prepared to run on time.
• Complete required checks and measurements, record accurately.
• Assist in training and developing staff to ensure a quality product.
• Assist with new hire ergonomic evaluations and performance evaluations.
• Position is required to work before department start time in order to assist with area set-ups.
• Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours.
• Flexible to work weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed.
