Job summary

UniFirst is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to lead team training, uphold safety, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced facility. You will partner with the Production Manager to optimize processes, manage inventories and schedules, and maintain quality while controlling costs.

The role requires leadership experience, strong financial acumen, and familiarity with ISO/Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant leadership experience.
• Ability to perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 25%).
• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of production management experience.
• Financial literacy to analyze production costs and make data‑driven decisions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead process optimization initiatives in partnership with the Production Manager.
• Aim for production targets while maintaining quality and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Inspire and develop a high-performing, collaborative team environment.
• Foster a service-oriented culture for internal and external stakeholders.
