UniFirst is seeking an Assistant Production Manager to lead team training, uphold facility standards, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. You’ll report to the Production Manager and guide a diverse team with a focus on safety, quality, and cost efficiency.

The role emphasizes process optimization, scheduling, and collaboration across Service, Sales, Maintenance, and Office to meet production goals and support business objectives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience with strong team building.
• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of production management experience.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (less than 25%).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Commitment to safety and compliance initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Optimize processes with the Production Manager to drive continuous improvement.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining quality and cost control.
• Support and inspire a collaborative, high-performing team.
• Foster a service-oriented culture for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure safety through inspections and training.
• Oversee inventory, vendor relations, and equipment maintenance.
• Develop and implement production schedules and cross-department collaboration.
