Job summary

INFICON in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate daily production schedules, lead and train teams, and ensure on-time, quality output in a lean manufacturing environment.

You will monitor metrics, manage material readiness, partner with Planning, Quality, and Maintenance, and enforce 5S, safety, and ERP record accuracy while driving continuous improvement.

This role offers a profit-sharing bonus and 401(k) matching, with competitive hourly wages in the Kansas market.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Manufacturing or production experience required; lead/train/senior operator experience helpful.
• Knowledge of production processes, ERP transactions, Microsoft Office, Lean manufacturing, and 5S preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, make sound operational decisions, and hands-on production work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production schedules, workflow, staffing, and job priorities.
• Lead, train, cross-train, and support production employees.
• Monitor output, quality, scrap, yield, materials, and inventory levels.
• Ensure materials, tools, and supplies are available to meet production needs.
• Address production issues and elevate safety, quality, staffing, or scheduling risks.
• Enforce work instructions, company policies, safety requirements, PPE, and 5S standards.
• Maintain accurate production and ERP records and support cycle counts.
• Partner with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Stockroom teams.
• Support continuous-improvement and problem-solving activities.
• Provide the Plant Manager with feedback regarding employee performance, attendance, and development needs.
