Job summary

INFICON AG in Overland Park, Kansas is seeking a Production Lead to coordinate daily production schedules, lead and train staff, and monitor output, quality, and inventory. You will ensure materials and tools are available, address issues, and enforce 5S standards.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to ERP systems and Lean practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Manufacturing or production experience required; team lead/trainer/senior operator preferred.
• Knowledge of production processes, ERP transactions, Microsoft Office, Lean manufacturing, and 5S preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, make sound operational decisions, and perform hands-on production work.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production schedules, workflow, staffing, and job priorities.
• Lead, train, cross-train, and support production employees.
• Monitor output, quality, scrap, yield, materials, and inventory levels.
• Ensure materials, tools, and supplies are available to meet production needs.
• Address production issues and elevate safety, quality, staffing, or scheduling risks.
• Enforce work instructions, company policies, safety requirements, PPE, and 5S standards.
• Mantain accurate production and ERP records and support cycle counts.
• Partner with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Stockroom teams.
• Support continuous-improvement and problem-solving activities.
• Provide the Plant Manager with feedback regarding employee performance, attendance, and development needs.

Additional Information

For Kansas, the expected hourly wage for this position is between$26–$31.The actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition, INFICON employees are eligible for a profit-sharing bonus with a target of 10% as well as 401K match up to 8% (vesting schedule).
