Job summary

Magna International, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader in Brighton, MI to coordinate daily production, lead pre-shift meetings, and ensure proper TPM, 5S, and quality practices on the line.

You will train production associates, monitor KPI targets, handle line changes, and collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and Materials teams to resolve issues and sustain continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing/operations experience.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving methods.
• Understand basic OSHA safety practices in manufacturing.
• Understand automotive quality terms and measuring methods; experience with gauges/check fixtures.
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Good math skills and ability to analyze data.
• Strong listening and verbal/written communication; detail-oriented.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a variable workload; flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily production activities including job assignments and rotations.
• Meet with Area Leader before shift start to understand current line state and changes.
• Lead daily pre-shift meetings to inform Production Associates of requirements.
• Ensure TPM/Daily Care activities and safety checks are completed as scheduled.
• Audit first-off/last-off procedures and dispose non-conforming product as needed.
• Prepare production line for next shift and ensure use of utilities efficiently.
• Train Production Associates on standardized work and verify qualifications.
• Follow 5S procedures and conduct LPAs; address non-conformances promptly.
• Respond to Andon alerts and coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Materials teams.
• Monitor KPI targets (safety, quality, timing, cost, motivation) and drive improvements.
