Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent vocational/trade school education in Manufacturing, Production or related field.
• Minimum 3 years manufacturing/operations experience.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and problem-solving methods.
• Understand basic OSHA and safety practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Understands basic automotive quality terms and measuring methods.
• Experience using check fixtures/gauges.
• Practical experience with computers and Microsoft Office.
• Good math skills and the ability to analyze data.
• Strong listening and communication (verbal and written) skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and with a variable workload (flexible hours).
• Ability to understand, anticipate and follow direction while exercising maturity of judgement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily production activities including job assignments and rotations.
• Meets with the Area Leader prior to shift start-up to understand the current line and production state, absentee/tardiness call-ins, and changes to normal employee work areas/equipment.
• Holds daily pre-shift meetings to inform Production Associates of changes and daily requirements.
• Ensures TPM/Daily Care activities, safety checks, and related tasks are completed as scheduled.
• Audits first-off and last-off procedures and stops line if issues arise, ensuring WIP and finished goods are dispositioned.
• Trains Production Associates on standardized work processes and ensures proper training and authorization for machinery use.
• Adheres to 5S procedures and ensures Layered Process Audits are performed; leads corrective actions and Kaizen events.
• Monitors quality alerts and supports problem solving to resolve issues; ensures non-conforming product dispositioning.
• Supports Return-to-Work programs and ensures compliance with safety and health policies.
