Job summary

Magna International Inc. is seeking a Materials Team Lead in New Hudson, Michigan to oversee daily materials and logistics activities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong coordination, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

You will train staff, manage shipments, and drive continuous improvement through data-driven problem solving, 5S, and TPM activities. A minimum of 3 years in materials/logistics with supervisory experience is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training in Manufacturing, Materials, Logistics, or related field is required.
• Minimum 3 years Materials and/or Logistics experience in manufacturing.
• Prior leadership/supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience shipping to OEM; ability to operate forklift and tugger safely.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily materials and logistics activities for assignments.
• Ensure containers receipts and shipments are tracked in proper systems.
• Oversee timely unloading/loading of trailers and meet window times.
• Hold pre-shift meetings to communicate daily requirements and issues.
• Train new associates on standardized work processes and safety practices.
• Ensure adherence to 5S, TPM/Daily Care, and safety checks.
• Monitor safety, quality, timing, cost, and KPI targets; drive continuous improvement.
• Lead problem solving using structured, data-based methods.
