Impact Workforce Solutions is seeking a Production Team Lead for the 2nd shift in West Point, GA. This hands-on leadership role directs a manufacturing team, champions safety and quality, and coordinates daily production activities to meet goals.

Production Team Lead - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

Impact Workforce Solutions is seeking an experienced Production Team Lead to support assembly and manufacturing operations in West Point, GA.

The Production Team Lead provides day-to-day leadership and direction to production team members and reports directly to the IWS Operations Manager. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, productive, quality-focused, and positive work environment.

The Team Lead will help coordinate production activities, train employees, monitor workflow, address production issues, and ensure the team meets established safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.

This is a hands-on leadership position ideal for someone with previous assembly or manufacturing experience who enjoys coaching employees, solving problems, and keeping production running efficiently.

Schedule

Monday – Friday -2nd Shift: 6:30pm-6:00am (Overtime may be required based on production needs)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction and support to production team members.
• Monitor production operations and help maintain efficient workflow.
• Train new and existing employees and maintain required training documentation.
• Verify that team members are properly trained to perform assigned work.
• Help the team achieve established safety, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
• Identify production obstacles and work with leadership to resolve issues.
• Recommend improvements to production processes, workflow, and team performance.
• Ensure team members follow established company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Partner with IWS Operations Managerto address employee concerns, conflicts, performance issues, and disciplinary matters as appropriate.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

• Ensure production activities are performed according to established quality standards.
• Lead by example by consistently following all safety policies and procedures.
• Reinforce safe work practices with production team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support company safety goals and initiatives.
• Follow applicable certification and quality-management requirements, including IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3–5 years of relevant manufacturing or production experience.
• Previous assembly experience is required.
• Previous experience leading, training, or directing production employees.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally and in writing, to support safe operations, teamwork, training, and accurate execution of job duties.
• Ability to identify problems, take initiative, and help implement solutions.
• Ability to work required overtime based on production needs.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred

• Associate degree or additional technical education.
• Previous experience as a Production Team Lead, Manufacturing Team Lead, Assembly Team Lead, Line Lead, Production Lead, or similar position.
• Experience using a Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
• Experience working in an environment operating under IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and/or ISO 45001 standards.

Equivalent relevant work experience may substitute for formal education where applicable.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

This is an active manufacturing position supporting continuous production and parts flow.

Team members must be able to:

• Stand and/or walk frequently throughout the shift
• Occasionally bend, stoop, and squat
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
• Occasionally push or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Assist with movement of carts and production materials as required

Most work areas are climate-controlled.
