Job summary

Prysmian is seeking a Team Leader for a 24/7 fiber optic cable manufacturing plant. The role runs on two 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm, 7pm-7am) and emphasizes safety, quality, and meeting production goals.

You will guide operators, adjust staffing, and manage workflow to ensure deadlines and standards are met. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of progressive management experience in manufacturing, preferably in fiber/cabling.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• AS Degree preferred.
• At least two years progressive management experience required.
• Experience in manufacturing environments preferred.
• Experience in optical fiber cabling industry preferred.
• Must be quality and customer focused, versatile and enjoys interaction with customers and visitors.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver production objectives and make quality decisions on shift.
• Execute shift operations plan by process area, focusing on ware movement and production priorities.
• Re-assign staffing resources based on current requirements.
• Manage MRR queue.
• Track, evaluate, and develop operator performance.
• Prepare and deliver end of shift turnover meetings.
• Ensure all product meets requirements as defined by the Plant’s Quality Management Systems.
• Comply with safety procedures and ISO14001 EMS guidelines.
• Conduct month end inventory counts as needed.
• Serve on the site spill team, as leader of the plant evacuation team, and as a first responder.
