As a Production Support Specialist, you will be responsible for handling requests from the production operations team. You will work independently and within a team of other developers, with a focus on fixing production issues through coding or database updates, designing ERDs and flowcharts for existing processes. There is a potential to work on new application development, as time permits. The ideal candidate will be customer focused and have passion and skills to troubleshoot and address production problems. We are looking for a motivated individual who can take ownership of tasks and drive them to completion.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support Warehouse Operations team’s requests by creating IT tickets in JIRA and providing user requirements.
  • Monitor and respond to production operations staff requests for resolving operations issues in a timely fashion.
  • Develop fixes for the issues reported either via code changes or via database changes.
  • Schedule user acceptance testing of the fixes with Operations team to ensure the fix addresses the problem reported prior to production deployment.
  • Maintain a ticket tracker and provide leadership communications on status.
  • Follow up on open tickets to confirm the ticket is completed and the customer is satisfied.
  • Collaborate with operations, program management and IT development teams.
  • Point of contact within the team to share and implement best practices and training opportunities.
Required Skills
  • Hands on experience with C# and web development.
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle or other relational database with strong query writing/optimization skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to understand others and clearly express thoughts.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and takes the initiative to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to fast-paced changing environment and priorities.
Required Experience
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field or equivalent work experience – Masters Preferred.
  • 1-2 years recent Experience with application development with Microsoft .NET stack web applications with ASP.NET MVC/Core, C# and databases like Oracle/PostgreSQL (SQL, PL/SQL).
  • Experience with source code Repos like GIT.
  • Knowledge/Experience with Blazor/WASM is beneficial.
