Lumen Solutions Group Inc. is seeking a Production Support Engineer to support enterprise applications on a night shift. This contract-to-hire role is based in Reston, VA (with monthly on-site in Washington, DC).

Responsibilities include monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving issues in Java/Spring Boot across RESTful services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and documenting incidents and procedures. Training will occur during the day before transitioning to night shift.

• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and other technical teams to resolve production issues.
• Perform incident analysis, root-cause analysis, and follow established production support procedures.
• Participate in knowledge-transfer and application-support activities.
• Document incidents, resolutions, and operational procedures.
• Support scheduled weekend rotations, approximately once per month.

Locations: Reston, VA or Washington, DC (once a month onsite)
Type: Contract-to-Hire

Interview Process: 2 rounds (Phone Screen + In-Person Interview)

Shift: Night Shift 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Position Overview

We are looking for a strong Production Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and Web Services to support production applications and troubleshoot critical issues in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Java development fundamentals along with experience supporting enterprise applications in production environments. Experience with Big Data platforms is a plus.
This is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a night-shift assignment. The selected candidate will initially complete training and knowledge transfer during the day before transitioning to the regular night shift.
