DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Production Support Associate to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Lakewood, NY.

Job Summary:

Performs skilled non-production activities independently which support the manufacturing processes in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment and may instruct or coach others.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

1. High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
2. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Help engineers, techs, and management with the inception of the new production lines through all phases.
2. Operation of equipment including tool set-up and changes, gaging parts, machinery preventative maintenance, housekeeping, and record keeping.
3. Train operators on new machines and equipment.
4. This is a 3rd shift position from 10:00pm to 6:00am. However, during the inception of the new line, training will take place on 1st shift up to two years. Once the new line is running, it is expected to return to help lead 3rd shift.
5. Need to be flexible and move between 1st and 3rd shift as needed when there is little or no work available during the first two years.
