Job description

The Production Support role is essential to maintaining efficient plant operations by assisting with various processes, ensuring workplace safety, and providing support across production and shipping areas as needed. The role involves executing tasks to enhance plant workflow, recommending measures for safety and production improvements, and maintaining clean and organized work areas.

Scheduled Workdays

Monday - Thursday, Friday - OT

Scheduled Hours

6am - 4:30pm

Duties + Responsibilities
  • Follow all company and equipment operation safety procedures.
  • Recommend measures to improve safety, production methods, and equipment performance.
  • Work on assigned projects to improve plant workflow.
  • Update and maintain shadow boards, audit findings, and report as necessary.
  • Collect start-of-shift checklists, audit die set sheets, and ensure completion.
  • Assist with process operating instructions and maintain revisions documentation.
  • Maintain die set board and open/close shop as scheduled.
  • Provide support in packaging, quality, maintenance, shipping, and receiving functions.
  • Operate lift truck and fill in as press operator as needed.
  • Enter daily labor records on timecards.
  • Keep equipment, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
  • Assist with timecard collection and review for accuracy, reporting discrepancies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business requirements and skills.

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Physical Demands & Work Environment

The employee must be able to lift and carry heavy objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds and work comfortably in a noisy and potentially hazardous industrial environment. Additionally, they should be capable of standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching for extended periods. During job duties, the employee may also need to sit, stoop, kneel, climb, or balance occasionally. They must frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to forty (40) pounds and may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and a risk of electrical shock. There is occasional exposure to high, precarious places, and specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment often features loud noise levels due to moving mechanical parts.
