Job summary

Metz Strategic Solutions is seeking Production Supervisors for Chambersburg/Baltimore area manufacturing facilities. This role leads 20-30 production floor associates, drives metrics, and coaches teams to achieve targeted results.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in supervision or team leadership, a business or technical degree, and strong communication skills. Lean experience and a passion for continuous improvement are a plus. Roles are on-site with emphasis on safety and 5S practices.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Drive Quality, Productivity/Cost, Safety, Delivery, and People metrics for 20-30 production floor associates.
• Coach and provide performance and behavior feedback.
• Learn all aspects of the production lines and coach to meet targeted results.
• Identify opportunities to improve metrics and processes.
• Ensure OSHA safety standards and safe job practices are followed.
• Maintain 5S/Workplace Organization and organized workplace.
• Track key metrics and share with employees daily.
• Provide mechanical support as needed.

Seeking Production Supervisors for a few manufacturing companies in the Chambersburg/Shippensburg/Waynesboro PA--Hagerstown MD areas.

Essential Skills of Position:

• Drive Quality, Productivity/Cost, Safety, Delivery, and People Metrics for 20-30 production floor associates
• Coach and continuously build your employees' skill sets/Provide great performance and work behavior feedback
• Learn all aspects of the assigned Production lines and establish relationships with all associates in order to effectively coach them to meet targeted results
• Constantly look for continuous improvements and talk with associates to find opportunities to improve all metrics and processes
• Ensure all Safety standards, OSHA requirements, and safe job practices are followed. Must lead by example and not compromise the safety of employees for productivity!
• Maintain an organized workplace-follow and sustain all 5S/Workplace Organization efforts
• Track all key metrics and share with employees on a daily basis
• Provide mechanical support as necessary depending on your skills

Desired Education, Skills, Experience and Qualities:

• Prefer a degree in Business or a 2-year technical degree.
• Need someone who has been a Supervisor or Team Leader for at least 3 years (could be shortened if you have a degree)
• Mechanical skills a plus but not critical.
• Previous Lean experience a plus!
• Need a great communicator. You can't be successful in this position without having great communications and interpersonal skills.
• Want individuals who understand that their individual success depends on the success of the team. Your score is the team's score!
• Prefer individuals who are passionate about continuous improvements.
• Need individuals who are floor people.

Jobs pay from 55-75k DOE.
