Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Weekend Night Shift to lead one or more manufacturing areas, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery while mentoring staff on standard procedures. You will participate in continuous improvement projects and support the Weekend Night Shift schedule: Friday - Sunday, 5:00pm - 5:00am.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of two years’ experience in a production environment.
• Experience with machine shop, stamping, assembly, or plastic injection molding a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills; knowledge of production systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate teams in manufacturing to meet production schedules and safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team objectives.
• Orient, train and motivate team members; ensure work instructions and production standards are followed.
• Perform supervisory and HR functions (attendance, incident reports, evaluations).
• Assist in production scheduling/planning, quality, material flow and equipment maintenance.
• Audit quality and safety reports to identify causes and implement corrections.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the team.
• Assign work and special projects to develop experience and flexibility.
• Requisition resources and expedite as required; act as backup for team members.

Your Role on Our Team

The Production Supervisor is responsible for one, or more, areas of manufacturing; knowing and implementing all policies and procedures, mentoring and developing the staff, and ensuring all policies and procedures are met. This position will contribute to team efforts by participating in continuous improvement projects as required. This will support our Weekend Night Shift, Friday - Sunday: 5:00pm - 5:00am. You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

• Responsible for leading and coordinating teams in manufacturing areas in order to meet production schedules and meet required safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team objectives
• Orient, train/develop, motivate, counsel and assist team members in work instructions, production standards, and the balanced flow of work and problem resolution
• Perform all related supervisory and human resource functions (work assignments, attendance documentations, incident reports, performance evaluations/counseling)
• Assist in production scheduling/planning, quality, material flow and equipment maintenance
• Audit quality and safety reports and processes to determine cause of issues/problems and ensures necessary corrections are performed to maintain standards
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships within team environment
• Assign work and special projects to team members to develop work experience and flexibility
• Requisition resources (supplies, tools, etc.) and expedite as required
• Act as backup for all team members
• Contribute to team effort by performing related tasks as needed to assist in overall goals
• Other duties and projects as determined by production and business needs
