Responsibilities

• Direct Leads and shop teammates with respect to safety, production volume, cost, quality, and meeting production schedules and delivery dates.
• Manage workforce levels and oversee scheduling of work hours, including overtime, to meet customer needs and control costs.
• Oversee hiring, training, motivation, and evaluation of the team for effective performance.
• Coordinate inventory levels and order reinforcing steel to meet customer needs within planned goals.
• Ensure machinery and facilities are properly maintained for efficient production.
• Authorize and purchase replacement parts and advise on capital expenditures for efficiency.
• Provide operating data to Production Department Manager for cost and efficiency improvements.
• Maintain good employee relations and enforce company policy and the collective bargaining agreement.
