Production Supervisor, Service Manufacturing

What To Expect

We are looking for a highly motivated individual on 1st shift to lead, support, and manage a team of technicians in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate is a self-starter with strong leadership capabilities who can manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. This leader will build a team that collaborates closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and other departments. Your experience in fast-paced production lines and a strong technical background will make you an ideal candidate for this role. You should have a passion for employee development and enjoy training and developing the next generation of technicians. You are hands-on, energetic, and capable of critical thinking across various complex processes. Your ability to collaborate effectively with employees, peers, and managers is a key strength for success.

What You'll Do
  1. Provide technical training to Technicians focused on controls, mechanics, electrical systems, etc., and lead technicians on process issues, analysis, and problem-solving.
  2. Align projects to achieve department goals by managing operations and driving key metrics. Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout the production process and support defect-free output.
  3. Manage the team by proactively planning labor needs, communicating expectations, conducting performance reviews, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  4. Ensure safety by maintaining current safety training, documenting incidents, correcting hazards, and promoting continuous safety improvements.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process engineering, equipment engineering, and maintenance to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Perform complex electro-mechanical troubleshooting to debug, repair, and remanufacture products meeting quality standards. Determine root causes of failures in complex electromechanical assemblies.
  7. Follow schematic diagrams and mechanical drawings for repairs, understand test equipment parameters, and analyze results using tools like Spock map.
What You'll Bring
  • 4 years of college/technical school or equivalent work experience; a Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering is preferred.
  • 2-4 years of supervisory experience.
  • Ability to lead effectively within production and engineering teams.
  • Enthusiastic, innovative, and proactive attitude. Ability to work independently and prioritize based on business needs.
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing, leadership, data collection, and analytical software.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends if necessary.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
