Summary

Directs and coordinates activities of field service personnel to ensure the satisfactory performance of Signode power equipment and identify new business opportunities.

Essential Functions
  • Manage a team of 12-16 Field Service personnel supporting over 1,000 customer accounts and 5,000 machines.
  • Oversee activities to ensure timely service call completion.
  • Review work orders for accuracy.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of service reports and documentation.
  • Follow-up on action items and punch lists with customers.
  • Approve timecards, expense reports, and maintenance agreements.
  • Manage agreements for profitable growth, including maintenance, retrofits, and billable services.
  • Provide supervision for field techs on special equipment.
  • Coordinate training and development of technical skills.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Handle first-level customer escalations.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure team has resources, training, and tools for effective work.
  • Gather and share KPIs, reports, and quality metrics.
  • Partner with inventory management on parts and stock levels.
  • Prepare technical reports for training and engineering, suggesting improvements.
  • Optional: Maintain world-class customer service for parts ordering and stocking in certain regions.
Position Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or GED required; college degree or technical training preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 2+ years in a leadership role and 5+ years in service.
  • Experience managing remote staff.
  • Desirable: Professional courses in business, engineering, or mechanical fields.
