Job summary

Nucor Corporation, North America's largest steel and steel products manufacturer, is seeking a Production Supervisor for the Albuquerque, NM facility. In this role you will implement policies in coordination with the Branch Manager so that teammates know what is expected from us and what we can expect in return.

Direct leads and shop teammates with regard to safety, production volume, cost, quality and schedules, while managing overtime and training to meet customer needs and maintain

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include legal work status in the United States.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without accommodations.
• Five to eight years of reinforcing steel fabrication or related experience, including at least three years as a supervisor.
• Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA Industrial Safety Standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct leads and shop teammates with focus on safety, production volume, cost, quality and schedules.
• Manage workforce levels and schedule work hours, including overtime to meet customer needs.
• Oversee hiring, training, motivation and evaluation of the team for effective performance.
• Coordinate inventory and order reinforcing steel to meet goals and customer needs.
• Ensure machinery and facilities are maintained for efficient production.
• Authorize and purchase replacement parts; recommend capital expenditures as needed.
• Provide operating data to improve costs and efficiency; maintain good employee relations.
