Job summary

Mastronardi Produce Ltd. in the United States is seeking a Production Area Supervisor to oversee daily operations, coach staff, and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.

You will monitor production flow, enforce packing procedures, train graders, and coordinate schedules to meet Ready Time and customer specs, while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient workspace.

Qualifications

• At least three years’ experience in a production environment; produce industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws and requirements to maintain compliance (FDA, USDA, OSHA).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to communicate professionally.
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and solve problems with urgency.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all activities within the Production area, including but not limited to: Employee training and coaching, measuring employee performance and recommending policies and procedures for the production area.
• As the customer specification expert for the designated area, ensures all specifications are met and provides analysis to improve efficiencies.
• Monitor status of daily order requirements and ensure order completion to meet Ready Time within customer specifications for their lines.
• Enforces proper packing procedures to meet product specs, costs and organization.
• Verify accurate grade-out and recording procedures per line.
• Maintains area to meet Health and Food Safety policies.
• Ensures the Commodity Managers’ allocations are followed.
• Provides training and guidance to Graders on customer specs and health/food safety policies.
• Oversees skid stacking quality and proper use of pallet ties.
• Motivates and organizes teamwork within production lines and team.
• Coaches reports on performance and attendance; adjusts schedules to keep lines staffed.
• Issues Corrective Action and may be consulted if termination is needed based on performance or attendance.
