Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Taylorsville, MS is hiring a Production Supervisor for our plywood mill. The production supervisor leads a wood products team to operate in a continuous manufacturing environment with a strong focus on safety, reliability, and quality aligned with our management philosophy.

You will supervise 20–30 teammates, coordinate production activities across EHS, quality, and costs, and develop the skills of crew members.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to work day, night, weekends and holidays.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and production reporting systems applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead a production team of 20–30 members.
• Coordinate production efforts to improve EHS, reliability, quality, production and costs.
• Facilitate team development and growth, employee skill development and problem-solving.
• Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership and accountability to proactively eliminate hazards.
• Monitor product quality and provide direction to crew members to maximize efficiency.
• Troubleshoot production issues.
• Work in a manufacturing plant environment, including extended periods in noisy and non-climate-controlled areas.
