Job summary

Comar is seeking a shift supervisor for a 6pm–6:15am schedule, providing leadership in a GMP environment. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement while guiding a high-performing team on the line.

You will supervise manufacturing processes, ensure SOP compliance, and drive cost-reduction and efficiency initiatives within a climate-controlled plant.

Qualifications

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, and manuals.
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Perform calculations including rates, ratios, and percentages.

Responsibilities

  • Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation.
  • Promote positive safety behavior with the team.
  • Identify, correct and report unsafe conditions.
  • Supervise the manufacture of products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Ensure GMP and SOP are followed correctly.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
  • Organize and coordinate the workflow in the department during the shift.
  • Pursue and contribute to cost reduction methods.
  • Drive continuous improvement to achieve quality and production goals.
  • Develop and lead a high performing team: set expectations, monitor performance.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities per policies and laws, including interviewing, hiring, training, planning, assigning, appraising, rewarding, disciplining, addressing complaints.

  • B Shift working Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and every other Saturday 6pm - 6:15am

Salary range: $60,000 - 85,000 DOE

THE ROLE
  • Follow safety procedures and Company policies for equipment operation.
  • Promote positive safety behavior with the team.
  • Identify, correct and report unsafe conditions.
  • Supervise the manufacture of products to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are followed correctly
  • Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
  • Organize and coordinate the workflow in the department during the shift.
  • Pursue and contribute to cost reduction methods.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement to achieve quality and production goals: develop, recommend and implement measures to improve manufacturing and support procedures, practices, production methods and product quality.
  • Develop and lead a high performing team: establish clear expectations, monitor individual and team performance.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws, including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
  • One -year certificate from college or technical school.
  • 1-2 years' related experience and/or training.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to communicate effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Regularly exposed to light industrial fumes or airborne particles in a climate-controlled environment.
  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.
  • Exposed to a noise level that is usually loud.
