Job description

Production Supervisor (Night Shift) - Huntington Plant

Reports to: Production Manager

Coordinate with managers, quality assurance, maintenance technicians, and maintenance leads to meet daily production targets efficiently. Follow and enforce all company policies, including GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices), SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures), and safety policies.

Job Functions
  1. Monitor all production processes from mixing to packing, ensuring scheduled products are produced with correct ingredients, oven speeds, temperatures, packaging materials, and date codes.
  2. Instruct and delegate personnel placement and equipment setup at shift start and maintain throughout the shift.
  3. Communicate production issues to management, quality assurance, and maintenance; collaborate to resolve problems.
  4. Inspect production lines regularly to ensure product meets specifications.
  5. Complete all required paperwork accurately and submit timely to relevant departments.
  6. Reprimand employees as necessary with final approval from management and HR.
  7. Maintain a clean, organized production floor and assist with housekeeping.
  8. Train staff on production procedures and enforce compliance.
  9. Assist with sanitation and cleaning activities as needed.
Requirements
  1. Proficiency in English (written and oral); bilingual in Spanish and English required.
  2. Strong math skills.
  3. Ability to supervise and train staff.
  4. Previous production experience required.
  5. Basic computer skills; proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
  6. Physical ability to move through work areas, climb ramps or step stools, and work in cold environments.
  7. Visual inspection skills to identify product defects.
  8. Ability to handle cleaning tools, chemicals, and lift objects up to 80 pounds.
  9. Experience with tools such as pipe wrenches, pliers, weighing equipment, and date coders.
  10. Ability to complete production and attendance records accurately.
  11. Safe operation of forklifts and pallet jacks.
  12. Work in hot environments and understand manufacturing guidelines.
