Job summary

Prysmian Group in Abbeville, SC is seeking a shop floor supervisor to lead production teams, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement. You will coordinate logistics, maintenance, and quality initiatives while mentoring associates and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

The role requires 3–5 years manufacturing experience with 1–3 years supervisory exposure, strong Excel/Office skills, and a focus on cost savings and quality. Safety gear is required on site.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School/GED Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 3–5 years manufacturing and 1–3 years supervisory experience required.
  • Strong computer proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and manufacturing systems.
  • Experience using production data, KPIs, reporting tools and metrics to drive decisions.
  • Lean manufacturing exposure preferred.

Brief Summary of Primary Duties

Specific Skills/Training Required

  • Ability to use measuring equipment –including but not limited to OD tapes, calibers, micrometers, Hazardous Waste Training First Responders Training
  • Education: High School/GED Diploma - required Associate's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Machine Tool Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years manufacturing experience required 1-3 years supervisory experience required

  • Experience utilizing production data, KPIs, reporting tools, and operational metrics to drive decision-making and continuous improvement.

Safety Requirements/Physical Requirements
  • Safety shoes and glasses required when working in the production areas
  • Hearing Protection required in posted areas
  • Ability to stand 8-12 hours on concrete floors
