Production Supervisor - MSC (Dayshift)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for ensuring all procedures are followed to achieve the highest level of productivity in a cost-efficient manner, while maintaining customer specifications. The supervisor must also ensure all reporting requirements for their area of supervision are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Train employees and foster an environment that enables them to achieve maximum quality and productivity in their roles.
  2. Plan and schedule manpower, materials, products, and machinery to utilize departmental resources effectively and efficiently, adhering to safety, quality, and company standards.
  3. Manage employee performance, providing both positive and corrective feedback as needed.
  4. Promote goodwill within the department and the company through proactive communication and employee involvement.
  5. Collaborate with other departments to investigate areas for quality improvement, cost reduction, process improvement, yield control, and equipment maintenance, offering suggestions for enhancements.
  6. Ensure safety protocols are followed throughout the work area.

BASIC SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • One or more years of previous supervisory experience.
  • Experience in the poultry or food industry is a plus.
  • Previous leadership experience managing 20 or more employees.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to make independent decisions.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
  • Availability to work assigned hours/days, including occasional weekends, as required.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED; a college degree in a related field is preferred.
